About Canine Safaris Ltd
A tour operator based in Mbarara, in the heart of the old Nkore kingdom, planning safaris and tours across Uganda.
Who we are
Canine Safaris Ltd is a tour operator in Mbarara, Western Uganda. We plan safaris and tour packages for international visitors, for Ugandans and East African residents, and for organisations that want to travel as a team.
Being based in Mbarara puts us at the gateway to Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth and the southern forests, so we know these roads and the people who work along them. We also reach further, to Tanzania and Kenya.
Community and training
Tourism should benefit the place it happens in. We run named programmes including BuildASafari, the Oweitu NiNkore Project (roughly, “you are welcome, this is Nkore” in Runyankole) and industrial training placements for students.
